As we have previously pointed out on this blog, “before God’s people wander away from his teachings… before their hearts are enticed to follow other ‘gods’… before they engage in outright rebellion against the Creator and Savior… they forget.”
I was reminded of this tendency upon reading two Good Friday blog posts. They both, in their own distinct ways, caution us about a gradual “drifting” from the centrality of the cross of Christ in the gospel, in our preaching, and in our worship.
